Bee sting facial treatment

A NEW FACIAL TREATMENT IS CREATING A BUZZ IN THE BEAUTY WORLD

Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, has been stung; so has Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.

What exactly are we talking about?

It’s the latest in beauty and agricultural research – Bee sting facial treatment.

You don’t exactly get stung by bees to reap the benefits, but scientists have found a safe way to harvest the venom in bee stings. After the purification process, the venom is incorporated into facial cleansers, moisturizes, masks, serums, etc. for a facial treatment that brings back the skin’s elasticity. That’s how you receive the benefits.

Bee venom has been found to stimulate collagen process. When applied to the skin through products, the skin gets a tingly feeling, like it’s being stung a little bit, stimulating blood flow to certain areas and thus, stimulating the production of collagen.

If the Royals swear by it (and even Posh!), then we swear by it. We’re bringing this facial treatment to the Valley, and we know clients are going to love it!

Of course everyone freaks out when they see an active beehive. However, latest beauty research shows that bee stings might not be so bad after all.

In the latest agricultural research, scientists have found the venom in bee stings to have anti-aging qualities. The venom from bee stings can boost collagen, which gives the skin the elasticity to make it youthful looking. The research also suggests that the venom may also increase the number of cells called keratinocytes, which acts as a barrier to environmental factors like the sun, lack of moisture and bacteria.

But do you really have to succumb to a bunch a bees stinging you and ruining your relaxing facial experience?

The answer is NO.

Fortunately, researchers have found a way to harvest the venom from bees without harming their lives and/or well-being. A special glass is placed alongside a hive and a weak electrical current runs through it. The current encourages the bees to sting the glass, leaving their abdomens intact. The venom is harvested, dried and purified, and then incorporated into facial moisturizers, cleansers, masks, and even serums.

Suddenly Slimmer Day Spa in Phoenix will be one of the, if not the, first day/med spa to offer skin care treatments using bee sting venom products.

According to Dannielli Marcelino, senior esthetician for the Suddenly Slimmer, “Clients will feel a tingling sensation as products are applied to their skin, but that’s normal.”

She adds that the venom is fooling the skin into thinking that it is being stung causing the blood to target certain areas, thus stimulating the production of collagen and other natural anti-aging chemicals in the body.

“Once you give this facial treatment a try, you will think that this is Botox in a jar,” Dannielli said.

The Bee Sting facial treatment already has Hollywood celebrities and members of the royal family a-buzz. Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, is said to be a huge fan of this facial treatment. So much so that she has convinced her daughter-in-law, Kate the Duchess of Cambridge, to give it a try. In fact, if you thought the Duchess of Cambridge looked ravishing and glowing on her wedding day, well you can at least attribute her radiant complexion to the bee sting facial treatment.

“We are very excited to introduce the bee sting facial treatment to the Valley,” said Dannielli.
