Helping to restore one’s confidence, the end result is a fuller, healthier looking head of hair. The cost of PRP hair treatment can be considerable, as more sessions may be needed to obtain the desired result.

PRP-Regrow-Hair-Phoenix-602-952-8446Around the age of 22 some guys can first notice their hair thinning and receding around the temples. Some start using Propecia, but Propecia and alike doesn’t help the hairline at crown area. Everybody is looking for that new ‘acell hair regenerator but those products on the market beside promising to regrow hair, after one buy them and starting reading the side effects; to lean that they are not recommend to be used on the crown area hairline where are the majority of their users concerns. PRP is the only non-invasive procedure that has proven regrow hair. After around 6 months after the first treatment with PRP one can see clearly looking at the microscope-pics before and after as well as just the naked eye. The area injected with my own blood’s plasma (PRP) filled out hairline with hair that is just thicker and healthier overall. PRP is also being used in conjunction with some hair transplant procedures. At this time there is not yet clinical proof that it works, but the results are very promising.

What is PRP?

PRP therapy, also known as Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy is the same as vampire facelift which is done on the face to help reduce lines, wrinkles and acne scars and also helps build collagen. The procedure involves drawing out one’s own blood and centrifuging it so that the plasma with platelets collects in the tube. This plasma rich in platelets and growth factors is very useful in tissue regeneration and healing.  It is then injected on the scalp or rubbed on the scalp after performing a dermaroller treatment in the areas which suffer from hair loss. Here’s how to conceal hair loss with these affordable options.

Who should opt for PRP?

People who have thinning hair, and those with androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness – hair loss at the top of the scalp and a receding hairline particularly along the temples), women with male pattern alopecia can all benefit from it. The treatment requires about eight sittings, each two weeks apart for best results. Along with it, one may have to take medications like minoxidil and propercia. Your doctor may also alternate between stem cell therapy and PRP as combination treatments have shown to provide good results. Expected results: Patients will soon see a fuzz of hair after the fourth sitting. The treatment not only promotes hair growth but also strengthens hair follicles. It is quite a safe procedure without any side-effects. Since it involves drawing out blood and multiple needle pricks, it may seem uncomfortable and scary but a numbing cream is used prior to the procedure to reduce the discomfort.

DOUBLE CHINS – Alert: It’s liposuction without the Surgery!

The double chin’s facial feature that has plagued people of all shapes and sizes has finally met its match by the newly approved remedy. Double-Chin Syndrome: The submental fullness due to fat beneath the chin can impact a broad range of both men and women and because the condition can be genetic and resistant to diet and exercise.

Kybella, a fat-melting injectable drug created by Kythera Biopharmaceuticals Inc., was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in April and became available last June 15 to the Med Spas’ Doctors and Registered Nurses. KYBELLA is a formulation of deoxycholic acid that mimics the same substance that is naturally produced by our bodies in order to help absorb fats. It works by destroying the tissue’s cell membrane when injected. By properly injecting KYBELLA into submental fat, the fat cells are destroyed. Once the cells have been destroyed they can never again store or accumulate fat.

kybella-lady-before-after-scottsdale According to the Wall Street Journal, the double chin is an often complained about, yet undertreated aesthetic complaint, which results in an older and heavier facial appearance. The company reported that consumers “spent nearly $12 billion on more than 11 million doctor-administered surgical and nonsurgical aesthetic procedures in the U.S. in 2013,” with non-surgical procedures accounting for 84 percent of that total amount.

Kybela’s chemical produced in the body to help absorb fats. When injected into the fat below the chin, known as submental fat, it destroys the fat cells. Patients can receive up to 50 injections in one single treatment. After treatment is complete, the patient is asked to ice the treated area and take an over-the-counter pain reliever (if he or she feels the need). The patients typically need two to three rounds of injections about 30 to 60 days apart to reach the desired effect. Comparatively, liposuction for double chins routinely costs between $US1,500 and $US2,000; Kybella Injection can save up to 75%!

kybella-before-after-arizona.jpgAccording to Kybella’s website, 79 per cent of patients treated with Kybella reported satisfaction with the appearance of their face and chin, as well as a marked improvement in self-perception.

New vision of beauty an internationally conducted study by Allergan, Inc.1 suggests that there is a change in women’s perception of their beauty. Of women surveyed, 83% revealed that they wanted to look as natural as possible in order to better reflect their personalities and expressions, and to protect their emotional well-being. This is good news for Med Spa-based practitioners. These findings coincide with the current esthetic market-drivers, including people’s desire and ability to minimize the effects of aging, as well as the new societal value of successful or healthy aging.

In 2016, combined non-surgical procedures rose 66% percent and was considered one of the hottest trend. Combined treatments can include a mix of injectables, lasers, CoolSculpting and radiofrequency customized to the client’s goals and preference.

Stating his prediction for 2017, Fred G. Fedok, M.D., president of the AAFPRS, said, “Look out for new hyaluronic acid fillers coming soon to the United States. In the meantime, recently approved Volbella for lips and Restylane® Refyne and Defyne for marionette lines and deep set wrinkles will be big this year.”

Worldwide, 425,000 CoolSculpting treatments were performed last year alone. One abdominal treatment is about $1,300 and each love handle costs about $800. People are drawn to the procedure because it is so minimal that one can go to work after the treatment.

Other doctors CBS News spoke to that had no financial relationship with the product said there was still no magic pill for weight loss, but they all agreed that for the right patient CoolSculpting works. While the fat cells that are treated drain from the body, client has to maintain a healthy diet and exercise.

Juvederm Voluma is the latest advancement in the Juvéderm® range of facial fillers, developed specifically for your lips and mouth area. It is a smooth gel that is injected by your med spa doctor or licensed injectable nurse, using an ultra-fine needle. It has been specifically developed as a smooth gel to give a soft, natural feel. The gel fills in lip lines and wrinkles while the hyaluronic acid within attracts and retains moisture, so results can last up to a year.

A study showed that 98% of people who had Juvéderm® VOLBELLA® with Lidocaine reported that their lip appearance goals had been achieved; with results lasting up to 12 months.

Kybella and Voluma – We all have this image of the classic American man.  He’s tall, strong, and has the kind of jawline that looks like it’s etched out of marble.  While aesthetics may change from person to person, there’s no denying that a strong jawline is indicative of a “more” masculine man.

In addition to treating dynamic lines and wrinkles, Botox can actually reshape your jawline. If you have a face shape that’s too wide at the jaws, the culprits behind that are most likely your masseter muscles, otherwise known as your chewing muscles.  As you age, these muscles can actually become more pronounced over time, causing a woman’s face to look more masculine. So, by injecting Botox into these muscles, you can actually slim down your face, giving it a more feminine, symmetrical look. With repeated Botox injections, your chewing muscles will become weaker over time, resulting in a smaller jawline

To create a stronger jawline, Med Spas use hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm Voluma and Restylane  work well, and there’s minimal prep time. On top of that there is virtually no recovery downtime; to ensure you get the best look for your face possible.  Dermal fillers are used to lift cheekbones. This non-surgical jowl lift counteracts the sagging of the lower face and prevalence of jowls for more symmetry. If deeply injected, the fillers uplift both regions.

Voluma can be used to sculpt the face by placing the filler deeply along the bony prominences rather than in the skin. Cost effectiveness depends on how much of an enhancement you need or desire. Implants work great for better definition, and are cost effective over the long run. The amount of Voluma needed will vary, and of course the cost will depend on how much is used.

This is another significant advantage over invasive surgery and chin implants.  Patients might experience swelling for just a few hours after treatment; this usually goes away later in the day.

The best candidates for this procedure are healthy and don’t take medicines or supplements that thin their blood, as this can cause excessive bruising.

MenHealth Magazine: “You can also take it on the chin, so to speak. By injecting Voluma under the mentalis, the muscle at the tip of your chin, Peredo says she can bring the whole thing forward. So it looks less retrusive.

Like Kybella, it’s a “lunchtime procedure” requiring about 30 minutes. This one runs around $1300 per syringe, and how many syringes you need depends entirely on what you’re trying to do. The good news—at least if you’re happy with your new jaw—is that it lasts for around a year.”

After all, “Some guys are lucky,” says Peredo. “They won the genetic lottery and were born handsome. Others just need a little help.”

33% of Adolescents Regret Their Tattoos

Tattoo regrets are not only for celebrities. Revenue from tattoo removal services have increased 440 per cent over the last decade; this particular service is projected to hit $83.2 million next year. It is an especially incredible number given that exactly zero tattoos are mandatory. These are all self-inflicted wounds creating an entire business model based on regret. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the number of people undergoing laser tattoo removal increased 43% from 2011 to 2012. This is consistent with a recent survey from the United Kingdom which found that nearly one-third of people suffer from tattoo regret.

Adults too have regrets about theirs tattoo:

Caught in a whirlwind of passion, Justin Bieber tattooed Selena Gomez on his wrist—ink he now regrets. He’s not alone: Johnny Depp had to reimagine his affirmation to Winona Ryder on his shoulder. There are other reasons for tattoo regret.

Demi Lovato needed a cover-up when her vagina tat no longer inspired, while Adam Levine can’t stand the “cauliflower sun” on his right shoulder.

Megan Fox recently underwent laser treatments to remove the massive Marilyn Monroe tattoo on her arm.

And some celebs have even embarrassingly enhanced their bodies with typos. Actress Hayden Panettiere had the Italian phrase “Vivere senza rimpianti” (“living without regret”) inked on her side, but “rimpianti” was misspelled.

CoolSculpting Men’s Breast reduction and the Long-term Effects of Coolsculpting?

CoolSculpting gets good results for the male breast, depending on the skin laxity and how fibrous the tissue is. CoolSculpting is best at eliminating stubborn pockets of fat that don’t respond to diet or exercise. Usually we find these areas in the love handles, lower abdominal area, men’s breasts and thighs.  A lot of men have excess unwanted fat on the breast area. Talking about the possibility of using CoolSculpting to help reduce breast size. CoolSculpting sessions to reduce the fat content of your breasts. Likewise, some patients might seek CoolSculpting after their breast reduction has healed in order to trim down their breast size a little but more. Your Med Spa doctor is the best resource for determining which methods would be the best for your body.

It might sound almost too good to be true that a breast reduction could be performed as a nonsurgical treatment, helping you skip out on expensive treatments and long recovery times. Some doctors, however, have begun offering the CoolSculpting treatment as an alternative way to reduce male breasts from a condition known as gynecomastia. Here are a few things to know:

CoolSculpting can help clear away fat cells that have caused the breasts to enlarge. It cannot remove breast tissue. The effects of CoolSculpting are gradual, so it will take a few weeks for your complete results to appear.

One CoolSculpting treatment can remove 20% of the fat cells in the treatment area, so repeated treatments may be needed to achieve the complete results. Once fat cells are killed and flushed out of the body, they cannot grow back. But if you gain weight after the treatment, your remaining fat cells can increase in size. Say, you treat your thighs with one of these machines. If you later put on a few pounds, you’ll redistribute that fat in a more even pattern over your body as opposed to preferentially gaining it in your thighs.

There are no long term negative effects of CoolSculpting. The reason it only damages fat cells is that fat cells will freeze at higher temperature than other tissues. The reason the other tissues such as skin, nerves and blood vessels are not frozen at these same temperatures are that they are water based.   The device carefully controls the cooling process so that the temperatures achieved are such that the only the fat will freeze but are above the freezing point of other tissues inside the applicator. Research indicates that CoolSculpting is an effective treatment for stubborn fat in the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, back, chin, arms and other areas of the body. You may feel numbness or tingling during the procedure, but some patients are able to sleep through it. The benefits of cryolipolysis are that there are no needles or surgical tools, so you do not need a long recovery time. CoolSculpting gives a very natural looking reduction without issues.  As with all procedures proper expectations are critical.

CoolSculpting is a nonsurgical procedure that gets rid of fat by using controlled cooling to eliminate its appearance. Essentially, CoolSculpting freezes away fat tissue in an easy, noninvasive procedure that can attack even the most stubborn fat deposits.

CoolSculpting helps eliminate targeted areas of excess fat through a unique process called cryolipolysis which uses freezing temperatures to activate the body’s own natural destruction of fat cells.  The procedure is pain free and no medication or anesthesia of any kind is needed.  Patients are free to read, work on laptops or take a quick nap during the treatment.  A gel is all that is applied to protect the skin followed by the cooling device which delivers freezing temperatures to the underlying cells. The procedure can be done in under an hour or during one’s lunch break, so no time off work is required.  Men can return to work or their busy, active lifestyle immediately following their CoolSculpting session. Since the body naturally absorbs the fat over a period of eight to twelve weeks, people won’t question or even realize that you received any treatment and results will appear natural.  CoolSculpting studies have shown up to a 25% fat reduction in successfully treated patients.  Exercise and healthy eating is recommended to help patients maintain long-lasting results.
