Obagi Blue Peel –

The Obagi Blue Peel ® is a unique procedure to precisely control the depth of a peel using a substance known as Tricloroacetic Acid (TCA). The blue is in the base that us applied to the face as a safe guard to enable the practitioner to see the depth of application to the skin and areas that need more or less of the base peel. The peels are variable in the depth and can be used on all skin types and can also be effective on neck, chest, hands and arms.The procedure takes up to half and hour dependent on the area to be covered and you will receive a full pre assessment prior to any treatment of this nature where you can discuss any questions that you have with your consultant. With the Vitalize Peel®, patients may achieve dramatic improvement in epidermal texture, tone lessening of superficial lines and a healthier, more youthful look and feel with minimal down time. This peel uses alcohol-based prepping and peeling solutions followed by retinoic acid to help pigmentation problems (such as age spots) fade, stimulate collagen production in the cells underneath the skin’s surface and prepare the skin to receive maximum results prior to treatments such as laser resurfacing. This allows the fat to flow out of the body through the lymphatic system. Secondly, the abdominal area is wrapped in ace bandages soaked in enzymes that help break down the fats & rid the body of toxins which helps to rejuvenate the body. Next “cupping” is performed. This practice involves placing a rounded cup made of glass onto selected areas with the open side down. A vacuum is created, which anchors the cup to the skin and pulls the skin upward on the inside of the suction cup. This therapy helps to break down the fat cells even more in order for the body to purge it out. Finally, a layer of a new product from Brazil called Impact Gel is applied to the abdominal area.
