MELT YOUR DOUBLE-CHIN AWAY!

DOUBLE CHINS – Alert: It’s liposuction without the Surgery!

The double chin’s facial feature that has plagued people of all shapes and sizes has finally met its match by the newly approved remedy. Double-Chin Syndrome: The submental fullness due to fat beneath the chin can impact a broad range of both men and women and because the condition can be genetic and resistant to diet and exercise.

Kybella, a fat-melting injectable drug created by Kythera Biopharmaceuticals Inc., was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in April and became available last June 15 to the Med Spas’ Doctors and Registered Nurses. KYBELLA is a formulation of deoxycholic acid that mimics the same substance that is naturally produced by our bodies in order to help absorb fats. It works by destroying the tissue’s cell membrane when injected. By properly injecting KYBELLA into submental fat, the fat cells are destroyed. Once the cells have been destroyed they can never again store or accumulate fat.

The company reported that consumers “spent nearly $12 billion on more than 11 million doctor-administered surgical and nonsurgical aesthetic procedures in the U.S. in 2013,” with non-surgical procedures accounting for 84 percent of that total amount.

Kybela’s chemical produced in the body to help absorb fats. When injected into the fat below the chin, known as submental fat, it destroys the fat cells. Patients can receive up to 50 injections in one single treatment. After treatment is complete, the patient is asked to ice the treated area and take an over-the-counter pain reliever (if he or she feels the need). The patients typically need two to three rounds of injections about 30 to 60 days apart to reach the desired effect. Comparatively, liposuction for double chins routinely costs between $US1,500 and $US2,000; Kybella Injection can save up to 75%!
