SkinMedica Vitalize Peel

Conveniently located to serve Phoenix

Are you looking for a safe and versatile peel that can address a wide variety of cosmetic issues? If so, you may be interested in the Vitalize Peel®. The Vitalize Peel can be used for seasonal rejuvenation, as prep for laser therapies, for overall rejuvenation, and for correction of tone, texture, and tightness issues. It’s also great to use a few weeks before an event, as part of a maintenance regimen, or just to get a pick-me-up glow.

Suddenly Slimmer MedSpa is the #1 Provider of Skinmedica Vitalize Peel in Phoenix and Scottsdale in business since 1988! With the SkinMedica Vitalize Peel®, patients may achieve dramatic improvement in epidermal texture, tone lessening of superficial lines, and a healthier, more youthful look and feel with minimal downtime. This peel uses alcohol-based prepping and peeling solutions followed by retinoic acid to help pigmentation problems (such as age spots) fade, stimulate collagen production in the cells underneath the skin’s surface and prepare the skin to receive maximum results prior to treatments such as laser resurfacing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Vitalize Peel?

The Vitalize Peel is a superficial chemical peel manufactured by SkinMedica®. It’s used to treat mild to moderate skin conditions like hyperpigmentation, acne, acne scarring, sun damage, melasma, inflamed skin, fine lines, and wrinkles.

This peel contains salicylic acid, lactic acid, resorcinol, retinoic acid, panthenol (an anti-irritant), and saponins (to enhance penetration of the chemical solution). A Vitalize Peel treatment improves the overall appearance of the skin by stimulating collagen production, minimizing scarring, tightening pores, improving skin texture, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Who can benefit from Vitalize Peel?

Vitalize Peel address the visible skin imperfections that result from skin aging and sun exposure, such as fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and texture. Vitalize Peel also address skin tone unevenness that can be caused by acne scarring or pigmentary changes. Our licensed Medical Estheticians can add additional layers of the Vitalize Peel to deliver a stronger strength chemical peel that can provide the optimum skin rejuvenation results.

How Does a Vitalize Peel work?

Vitalize Peel produces a slight injury to the skin, but the peel is not painful. The Vitalize Peel initiates the skin’s wound healing process, encouraging new connective tissue to form. Collagen remodeling occurs, decreasing sun damage and reducing wrinkles. This may occur over weeks or months. Immediately after the Vitalize Peel, you will notice the improved appearance of your skin, more even tone, smoother, and with a healthy glow.

What Can Be Expected After a Vitalize Peel?

Most patients leave the office with their skin looking healthy and fresh. Any redness or discoloration can easily be covered with makeup and most activities can be resumed right away. Within 48 hours, mild flaking will occur, which can be controlled with moisturizers.

What results can I expect after the Vitalize Peel®?

After the Vitalize Peel®, patients will notice an improvement in the appearance of overall skin condition, diminishment in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smoothness of skin texture, more even skin color, and improved skin clarity.

How long do you peel after a SkinMedica Vitalize Peel?

Peeling after SkinMedica Vitalize Peel will generally start between 48-72 hours after the procedure and can last 2 to 5 days. For the first 48 hours or before the skin starts to peel/flake, moisturizer can be applied twice a day.

How often can you get a SkinMedica Vitalize Peel?

SkinMedica Vitalize Peel® treatments can be repeated every 3-4 weeks.

What is in a Vitalize Peel?

The  Vitalize Peel contains ingredients resorcinol, lactic, salicylic, and retinoic acid, the SkinMedica Vitalize Peel can help smooth out the skin, diminishing the appearance of imperfections, such as fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, and rough skin.

Is Vitalize Peel the same as Vi Peel?

Both the Vi and the Vitalize peels are safe and effective for the treatment of melasma in people with brown skin. They are both combination peels. For brown spots, in my experience, the Vi Peel produces a more dramatic change in 1 week. This may be because it contains phenol which the Vitalize does not. They are both great choices.
