CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

The CO2 Laser Resurfacing is a laser retexturing treatment that can smooth out the surface of the skin and rejuvenate the overall appearance–with minimal downtime. The treatment removes the outer layer of skin and prompts collagen production at deeper layers. New skin and collagen growth will improve the surface of the skin, revitalizing the overall appearance over time. Suddenly Slimmer Med Spa’s, Phoenix, Arizona Nurses and Certified Laser Resurfacing Specialists, recommend their custom CO2 Laser Resurfacing PHX treatments for patients who would like to improve the tone and texture of their skin.

However, before a CO2 Laser Resurfacing treatment at our Phoenix office, a topical anesthetic is commonly applied to help alleviate any discomfort. On average, a treatment takes about 30 minutes. For most patients, one treatment is sufficient. For those with more severe acne scars or deep wrinkles, Stretch Marks additional treatments may be recommended. Although many patients are ready to go back to work within a day, downtime will vary. On average, a patient may experience 4-7 days of recovery. After a treatment, a patient will notice redness and some tenderness, much like a mild sunburn. Peeling typically occurs after a few days, causing flaking skin and some itchiness. This will resolve itself within a few days, as the skin heals.
